There is a problem when there are only 37 women total racing the NRC Joe Martin Stage Race. 7 teams. I’m not sure what it means or the reason, but it’s a something that needs to be addressed.

Speed week over lap this year that wasn’t last year? You are not here? Gas prices?
Fewer than 40 women have done any of the Speedweek races to date.
The USA CRITS first race (Terrapin Twilight in Athens) had 32 finishers (not sure how many started).
Also consider that USA Cycling is conducting its collegiate national championships this weekend. There’s a loss of at least a dozen riders.
what’s the prize money? esp compared to the men’s race?
