I’m  happy to report that Bromont is doing okay.  His pneumonia is pretty much gone, even though he is still on antibiotics for a couple more weeks.  He is coughing much less, but still clearing his throat a lot.

He is very picky about eating, but he does seem to eat every day.  Sometimes he turns down the double cheeseburgers, which is a worry, but he eventually seems to come and scratch, asking for food.

Dennis showed up yesterday, with his dog Hawkeye.  Bromont has been buddies with Hawk since Hawk was a puppy and Bromont was very happy to see both he and Dennis.

Bromont is sleeping a bunch nowadays.  He does go for a couple walks a day, but super short and pretty slow.

I don’t know how this is all going to go, but we feel so lucky to be able to have him around, feeling relatively normal, for a little longer.

I really need to thank everyone for all the nice notes and good thoughts.  Bromont has been getting some presents in the mail.  Yesterday he felt good enough and actually ate a bunch of them, which is really a relief.

I’m not fooling myself here, but hopefully Bromont will continue to improve some and gain some more strength and weight.  Every day is precious now, and they, as they always do, just will come one at a time.

Bromont has been sleeping upside down recently, which means he feels a ton better.

Bromont was happy to see Dennis and Hawk yesterday.

Trudi has been spending a ton of time just sitting with Bromont and enjoying.
