Christmas is a funny holiday. It is a holiday where people sometimes seem to get stressed out for no specific reason, only to eventually really enjoy themselves.
2016 has been one of those years for me. Not the whole year, but the last bit for sure. I say that, but in all truth, I can’t complain. I understand that I have been very lucky. Nearly since birth. It is very easy to look at the downside of things. I try to stay optimistic. Sometimes that is challenging, but overall, it is a better way, for me, to navigate life.
The year is nearly over and a new one begins in just a week. Funny how quickly it goes now.
Check out the video below if you have a few extra minutes. The little girl is 10. She is autistic. And she is amazing.
I hope you have a very nice Christmas Day.
Steve, everyone, please listen to all the verses and words. It is CHRISTmas.
Blessings,
David
In the meadow we can build a snowman
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say, “Are you married?”, we’ll say, “No, man
But you can do the job when you’re in town”
Thanks, and Merry christmas to you as well.
Cohen, Bowie, Ali, Gene Wilder, Maester Aemon… my dad… so happy you’re not on this list considering what happened. 2016’s indeed been the year of valar morghulis. Can’t wait for it to end soon enough.

Merry Christmas, Steve.
Merry Christmas to you and the family. Thanks for all the entertainment, inspiration and laughs this past year, 2017 can only get better.
Merry Christmas Steve.
Merry Christmas Steve and Trudi. I am sure your recovery will continue!
Merry Christmas! I love this blog and your attitude Steve. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2017!
Merry Christmas
Christmas is the most stressful time of the year for me/us and I’m relieved that it’s (almost) over.
I work 50 hours a week and I’m taking masters classes. My wife works.
We have kids that have soccer practice, violin practice, girl scouts, water polo practice, soccer games, water polo games, kid at tutoring, church, church committee, and we just finished remodeling our kitchen.
That’s a full schedule. Add to that the following tasks:
gifts for wife
gifts for parents
gifts for 2 kids
gifts for nephew 1 and nephew 2
gift for in-law secret santa exchange (yay! time saver)
kid 1 gift for mom
kid 2 gift for mom
kid 1 gift for grandma and grandpa 1
kid 1 gift for grandma and grandpa 2
kid 2 gift for grandma and grandpa 1
kid 2 gift for grandma and grandpa 2
kid 1 gifts for aunt 1 and aunt 2
kid 2 gifts for aunt 1 and aunt 2
kid 1 gift for cousin 1 and cousin 2
kid 2 gift for cousin 1 and cousin 2
wrap or make sure all above gifts get wrapped
Make sure gifts for kid 1 and kid 2 are “equal”
I enjoy Christmas Day because it’s a relief, but I’m exhausted.
Not complaining, but Steve wondered why people get stressed-out.
Nice use of “valar morghulis”!
