I can’t believe how fast a week can go. I can’t believe it is Friday already. I know I accomplished a lot these past 5 days, but I can’t actually pinpoint one thing that I accomplished that was major.
I’m trying to figure out my race schedule before Nationals. I’m trying to figure out if I want to go to JingleCross (it’s worth clicking on the JingleCross link just to have the little Santa and reindeer follow your cursor around.) to race for 3 days and then up to Portland the weekend before Bend, or go out to Southern California and train in the warmth or……
Last night I started trying to put together another cross bike and ended up messing with tires more. I only have two Dugast 32mm tires right now and don’t want to screw them up before nationals. I have a ton of really flat ones. Ones that have a lot of tread on them. I peeled off the tread and am thinking of adhering it to a Challenge 34mm casing. The only problem is I’m not sure what is the best adhesive to use. I’m pretty sure I can figure that out, but it probably won’t be by tomorrow. I’d like to race the tires alittle locally, mainly to see if they feel squirmy, and of course, to see if the tread stays on.
I’ve been riding pretty good in training the last few days. I made the mistake of trying to triple up and do a little too much of everything yesterday. Running uphill, situps/pushups/whatever, and then riding. I’m pretty sore right now. It really doesn’t matter, does it?
Okay, I’m probably racing up in Lincoln Nebraska on Saturday. Then I have to decide if I stay up there or come back and race in Kansas City on Sunday. They are both just local cross races. Neither too far away. Guess I have time to decide either way.
I saw this on eBay yesterday. (Click twice on it to enlarge.) If you want one, click here. Better yet, email me. I bet have have a bunch laying around somewhere and I’ll sell you one for way less than $12. Signed.
Come to Manions Cross in KC!
How much less than $12?
Come to Manions Cross II!! Not as hilly this time, but still hilly!
Time is natures way of not letting everything happen all at once. Enjoy a fast week
