Seems like the weekend days here in Southern California are way more cram-packed that the weekdays. That might be the case everywhere for all of us. Anyway, how about that Paris-Roubaix race today? Pretty good bike racing.
I just got back from going down to the cove in La Jolla. The place is packed. There is a farmer’s market every Sunday that is unbelievable. On top of that there is a car show that can happen only in Southern California. Millions of dollars of exotic automobiles.
La Jolla is one of the most beautiful setting on the planet. The sea life here is unreal. There are seals, dolphins, walruses, pelicans, just about everything but sea otters. The farmer’s market and car show are great, but they are dwarfed by the natural beauty. Big bodies of water just tend to do that.
Okay, I can’t be spending much time on the computer today when there is so much to do and see here.
Here are some photos from today.
we lived there two years–wife worked for Kashi. We’ve since moved back to Michigan. So miss the riding and the culture. It is a different world, to be sure. I think I sat on your wheel on the 56 bike path–back in ’09. Near black mountain rd and Intuit campus. See you at Iceman this year? Cheers, Mr Tilford. And the Mexican food vendor at the farmers market is the best I’ve ever had!
Pannikin.
Dude what’s with Pannikin? The first time I read your blog awhile back there was a pic of Pannikin, now here it is again! It is a great place though.
North County has been changing for the worse over the years though, unfortunate but that’s what comes with popularity and population. We’re transitioning from there to Idyllwild…6000′ and some of the best MTBing around.
