Dennis is cracking the whip and taking us on a circle tour to the Brick House Coffeeshop in Cable, then over to the Yuri’s new buffalo farm to see how much work needs to be done there. We got up to the Northwoods later, around 11 last night. Dennis and Trudi have already taken the dogs for a long romp in the woods and now it is time to suit up for the lap. It has rained a ton up here. Driving through Hayward last night the roads were flooded. Dennis said that the Birkie Trail is covered by downed trees and ponds at the bottom of all the valleys. I looked it up and it is a mess up here. I’m hoping to try to ride the course tomorrow, just to see if I can actually race this next weekend. Riding through hub deep water won’t show much. Okay, need to get going. We have to take Trudi up to Duluth to start here trip to Canada just after 1.
Can’t wait to hear what you think of the trail conditions,, that was a lot of water and wind.
I’m not sure if I’m better off knowing the conditions or not. Saturday is looking like a long day.
