I really don’t shop much. I try to know enough about the things I’m interested in, at least the cost of those things, but don’t really follow much else. I was surprised when I went into a local Boulder running store, a couple days ago, with the shoe selection. I didn’t really pay any attention to how much they cost, I was too mesmerized by the colors. I obviously missed the new style memo on running shoes. I hope this doesn’t bleed over to cycling. I have a ton of historical photos that are nearly ruined by some product’s fashion statement from the time. I understand the whole marketing deal, trying to get consumers to upgrade to the newest and greatest, but when it is just a changing of color for the model year, I’m not really interested in that.
I think those Bolles were the inspiration for the new POCs. Bleh.
Those colors look great on a 23 year old female runner, but not so much on a 58 year old guy. :^)
What doesn’t look good on a 23-year-old female runner? ;’)
Ah, eyewear..
I still have a pair of Bolle micro-edge, and a pair of M-Frames that are so old, they actually say Oakley on the earpiece, instead of the big “O”.. I try to wear them at least once a year, just to hear the comments from the guys.
I’d shop for Bolles before I’d shop for DI2 and road tubeless.

Oh! I remember those Bolle glasses well, as I too, owned a pair. I do wish that we would get rid of model year bikes, simply changing color and increasing the price isn’t all that encouraging to the consumer. Heal quickly Steve!
Piet Mondrian wept from his grave because of those pink Bolle’s.
