Yesterday was nearly a 20 hour day. From 6am to 1 something-ish am today. We decided to come back to Topeka and drive to Harrison Arkansas, race twice, then head back. There were crazy thunderstorms West of Topeka when we were heading back after midnight. Whenever the lightening flashed, we could see eery clouds hanging threatening low everywhere. It was a tornado watch for virtually whole Eastern Kansas. It it is supposed to heat up once again this afternoon. I love this about the Midwest.
I know I’ve been slack posting the last couple days, but just didn’t have time. Today is going to be another. I’m looking for a slower morning, no thinking. I want to watch the Giro this morning, it finishes on the Galibier (click here if you want to watch too) and there are a bunch of downed branches and stuff laying around after the 70 mph winds last night, so I’d better get on top of that before it starts up again later.
So, I’ll just post on the race tomorrow. I did race twice, over 70 miles on a very hard circuit. Well, I sort of warmed up once, and then sort of raced. It was good, but eye opening. Okay, got to go.
