I wonder why there are so few this year! This race is usually bigger. Maybe it conflicts with other races. I know the collegiate nationals are this weekend so maybe that cuts down on the younger riders.

I imagine there are a few reasons….Speed Week being one of them! Personally, as someone who doesn’t get to race as a full time job, I have to pick and choose what races I’m going to spend the money to travel to and take off work for….and coming up I’ve chosen Tour de Grove, Quad City/Snake Alley Races and then Tulsa Tough as my extended weekends! It doesn’t hurt that I’m not exactly a climber and prefer crits! 🙂
